Participate in the Northeast Beef x Dairy Survey

Camila Lage, Dairy Management Specialist
Southwest New York Dairy, Livestock and Field Crops Program

January 5, 2022

With the rapid increase in the use of beef semen bred to dairy cows, information regarding the appropriate nutrition and management for the resulting beef x dairy progeny is lacking. Researchers at the University of Connecticut and Penn State University are working together, thanks to the generous funding support from a Northeast Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education grant, to determine how early life impacts these young, growing calves, and we need your help!

You are invited to participate in the Northeast Beef x Dairy Survey, which gathers information about the use of beef semen by dairy producers to generate beef x dairy cattle. In order to participate in the survey, you must be over 18 years old and have a farm in the Northeast United States.

At the successful completion of the survey, you can also enter a drawing for the chance to win one of four $50 Visa gift cards.

- To complete the survey online, scan the QR code to the right with your mobile device, or type the link below into your web browser. At the completion of the survey, you will be directed to enter the optional drawing for a $50 Visa gift card.
